First Visit
Your initial appointment will consist of an examination and consultation explaining your diagnosis and applicable treatment options. Often, treatment can be performed the same day as the examination and consultation; however, a complex medical history or endodontic treatment plan may require an evaluation appointment followed by a second appointment in which treatment can be provided on another day.
Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your consultation:
- Your referral slip and any “X-rays” (if provided by your general dentist).
- If you choose to use dental insurance, please be prepared to provide this information either at (or preferably before) your appointment in our office. This will help us to help you process any claims more efficiently and accurately.
IMPORTANT: A parent or guardian must accompany all patients under 18 at the consultation visit.
Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to treatment (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are taking any medication (i.e. heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.) which may effect treatment or require medication prior to dental cleanings (i.e. antibiotics for bacterial prophylaxis).
X-Rays
Any “x-rays” provided by your general dentist/referral source are a great starting point, however, we will necessarily take new/current “x-rays” from various appropriate angles that correctly demonstrate information necessary to assist with accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
