Dr. Richard Angell III
Dr. Angell is a Southern California native who grew up in Glendale and attended Herbert Hoover High School. He is an alumnus of the University of California at Irvine and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. He was president of his dental school class and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Angell then completed a residency program in the Graduate Endodontics Program at the University of Washington in Seattle where he earned a Certificate in Endodontics and a Master’s Degree in Dental Science.
Dr. Angell is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Orange County Dental Society. He also attends seminars as a member of the Laguna Gnathological Research and Study Group. Dr. Angell also was a past member of the Newport Harbor Academy of Dentistry before it ceased operation.
As an endodontist (root canal specialist), Dr. Angell has dedicated his career to performing root canals, bonded core restorations (the permanent filling placed after the root canal is complete) and certain surgical procedures related to the management of difficult and unusual situations. Dr. Angell is among the most highly regarded endodontists in Orange County and has successfully performed endodontic therapy for thousands of patients over the past two decades.
Outside of work, Dr. Angell is an avid Angels baseball fan and also enjoys watching UW Husky Football and walking his silly Weimaraner dog. As much as Dr. Angell enjoys being an endodontist, he cherishes being a loving father to his daughter, Allison, even more.
