Digital Imaging
Dr. Angell carefully chooses which and when radiographs are taken. There are many guidelines that we follow. Dental radiographs are invaluable aids in diagnosing, treating and maintaining dental health. Exposure time for dental radiographs is extremely minimal. Dr. Angell utilizes Dexis digital imaging software and the newest “Titanium” sensors in his office. With digital imaging, exposure time is nearly 90 percent less when compared to traditional radiographs. Digital imaging can also help us retrieve valuable diagnostic information. Digital imaging allows us to easily store patient images and enables us to quickly and readily transfer them to your referral source, other specialists or insurance companies.
Digital X-Rays:
Digital “X-rays” offer more precision since we view the image on a computer monitor instead of holding a 35mm film up to a light or clipped to a view box. Digital X-rays result in approximately 1/8th the radiation exposure to you.
Surgical Microscopes
The introduction of the surgical microscope has revolutionized the field of endodontics. Dr. Angell was trained using Global microscopes during his tenure at the University of Washington in Seattle. Each treatment operatory in his office is outfitted with a 6 step Global microscope.
